Erectile Dysfunction (ED) Erectile dysfunction refers to the persistent inability of an individual to sustain a penile erection. ED can manifest due to several reasons, such as neural, hormonal, or vascular dysfunction, psychological issues, or post-surgery effects. This disease is notmall characterized by impaired arterial blood flow, reduced nitric oxide (NO) release, and early venous leakage. Sildigra XL Plus improves the blood flow in the penile tissues and provides prolonged erection and rigidity. 

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) PAH consists of high blood pressure in the arteries caused by increased pulmonary vascular resistance, right ventricular strain, and failure. There might be an endothelial injury or dysfunction that decreases vasodilation and increases vasoconstriction. As a result, the pulmonary arteries remain narrowed continuously, which increases the blood pressure. Sildigra XL Plus improves vasodilation and reduces the pulmonary arterial pressure. This slows down the progression of PAH and reduces symptoms like dyspnea and fatigue. Pediatric PAH Normally, the pulmonary arterial tension in fetuses is high due to contricted space. After the birth, as the lungs expand and the oxygen levels rise, the pulmonary arteries dilate. This transition is important for normal lung functioning. In pediatric PAH, this transition does not happen normally. As a result, the pulmonary arteries remain constricted and have higher blood pressure. Pediatric PAH can manifest as a result of several factors, such as developmental, genetic, chronic lung diseases, or congenital heart disease. In such cases, Sildigra XL Plus is an effective medication, but it must be strictly under medical supervision.

Dosage Information

How Sildigra XL Plus 150 mg Works

In human males, due to sexual stimulation, a chain of biochemical reactions is triggered in the penis. As a result, the nerve endings in the region release a chemical called nitric oxide (NO). NO activates guanylate cyclase, the enzyme responsible for regulating the levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). Guanylate cyclase increases the levels of cGMP in the smooth muscles of the penile blood vessels. This causes the blood vessels in the area to relax (vasodilation). As a result, more and more blood flows into the erectile tissue (corpus cavernosum) till the tissue becomes rigid. This blood flow leads to a sustained and rigid erection. Under normal conditions, the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5) breaks down the cGMPs, reducing their effect in the corpus cavernosum, after a period of time. Hence, the erection weakens, and the penis reverts back to its normal state. Sildigra XL Plus contains the drug sildenafil citrate. This drug blocks the PDE-5 enzyme, thus ensuring consistent blood flow in the smooth muscles of the erectile tissue. As high cGMP levels are maintained, the erection remains sustained till the effect of Sildigra XL Plus is present. Sildigra XL Plus does not cause an erection on its own. It just helps sustain the present erection obtained after sexual stimulation by improving and sustaining the blood flow in the erectile muscle tissue.

Precautions and Considerations

Sildigra XL Plus must only be consumed after being recommended by a licensed healthcare professional, especially if the dose is 150 mg strength. The dose must not exceed 150 mg within 24 hours. This medication is not intended for daily use. It must be consumed occasionally, only before intended sexual activity. Patients must discontinue the medication immediately and seek medical help if the erection lasts over four hours (priapism). This medication must be administered with caution in patients with a history of, or current, cardiovascular disorders. Patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, or valvular heart disease must be especially careful. On consumption of Sildigra XL Plus, there is a risk of a sudden drop in blood pressure in patients with recent myocardial infarction, recent stroke, unstable angina, or severe hypotension (<90/50 mmHg). Sildigra XL Plus is contraindicated with nitroglycerin and isosorbide medications. It must also be avoided to be consumed with Alpha-blockers, antihypertensives, CYP3A4 inhibitors, and other PDE-5 inhibitors. This medication must be used cautiously by patients with any auditory, ophthalmic, renal, hepatic, neurological, or hematological disorders. While consuming Sildigra XL Plus, individuals must avoid excessive alcohol consumption and driving. Foods like grapefruits must also be avoided as they cause CYP3A4 inhibition. There is no research about the effects of Sildenafl citrate in women. Hence, females must avoid consuming this drug on a regular basis. For non-ED disorders, the dosing of 150 mg exceeds the requirement, and such high doses must not be administered.

Other Information

Does Sildigra XL Plus work better than regular Sildenafil 100 mg? Sildigra XL Plus does not work differently from Sildenafil 100 mg. The enhanced effect is simply observed due to the higher quantity of the drug in Sildigra XL Plus. Can Sildigra XL Plus be used daily? No. Sildigra XL Plus is supposed to be consumed only occasionally before any sexual activity. For non-ED disorders, regular use must be prescribed by a doctor. Why do some patients not respond to the highest 150 mg dose of Sildenafil? Some people may not respond to a Sildenafil 150 mg dose because of several reasons, such as severe endothelial dysfunction, advanced diabetes, significant nerve injury, or psychological inhibition. Happens if Sildigra XL Plus is taken more than once in 24 hours? If Sildigra XL Plus is taken more than once in 24 hours, individuals can experience symptoms like severe hypotension, priapism, visual and auditory disturbances, and cardiovascular events. Can Sildigra XL Plus cause permanent vision loss? There is no proof or reports about permanent vision loss due to sildenafil citrate. However, individuals can experience symptoms like transient color changes or blurred vision.
